Not crazy about any of them. Go with a traditional mid-range stain and it will be timeless, as a floor should be.

Agree with the above comments. Keep the floor in its natural state without stain but of course a proper sealer is a must.

Can you please advise what a mid range stain color would look like? Is the photo that i have attached a good example of a mid range stain?

Out of the options shown. I would go with either (top to bottom) #2 or #4. I think that since the doors and trim are white, having the floor and cabinets be similar in color would be okay.

I actually like the second from the top. it is really close to the cabinets and it's warm and lovely. I would kinda call that mid toned, myself.

I agree choose 2nd from top and then find contrast in the counter and carefully chosen backsplash. Maybe do not choose a brown speckled granite.

We actually also picked #2 from the top and also observed it was too close to the cabinet color. I am no colour expert but from what i read they say dark floors make the space look smaller. Just afraid of that aspect of darker floors.

Well...I have to say for picking colors, the photos submitted are awful! The color control (at least on my monitor) is terrible and all the colors look as if they have a yellow overlay on them.

When photographing items where color is important you should do it outdoors in direct sunlight and a second set in indirect sunlight to see which gives you the most accurate camera rendition.

Oh yes...be sure the white balance on your camera is set correctly and on.

PS: did you use your smart phone camera for these?

Have u considered a painted cabinet? A warm white tone, cream or antique white ? Floors are great, cabinet color not so much so IMO.

I like dark floors.... Feels more grounded. They can be harder to keep looking dust-free, so if that's a concern for you, then don't listen to me at all, lol.

The glazed cabinets are really nice (I'm totally drooling over here), and I can't help but want to go as dark as you can on the floor, to coordinate with the darker lines on the cabs. I like contrast, though, between floor and cabinets (and again between cabs and counter)... Seems most folks like to blend. :-D

If my monitor is properly color-calibrated, I see a lovely green in your counters, and if your backsplash is also green, then I'm all for it! I even zoomed as far out as I could on my screen, so that I could see everything together. Looks beautiful!

What color grout are you going with on the backsplash? Warm beige?

One Devoted Dame, thank you, yes, there are green and grey tones in the counters when seen in person. However, the backsplash is grey with matte and shiny finishes on it. For the grout we were going to go either on the creamy white side and maybe even also consider beige since you mentioned it.

Pensacola PI, the glazed cabinets have already been ordered(so cannot order white). My only flexibility is with the floors.

Hi susha, the type of wood species can also bring more interest and contrast with your cabinets. For example, hickory and walnut might be slightly darker or have variations. Or you can add a small kitchen runner to add interest and contrast. As for dark floors, watch out, you will be dusting and mopping constantly. Personally, never again, been there and doing thst now.

I installed Arden in the entire house. House is around 3000 sq ft and it was installed in 3 days by 2 installers. Goes in pretty easy and had the floormuffler underlayment underneath it for sound abatement purposes.

can I ask what color and wood species your cabinets are? Cabinets we are looking at with a glaze look very similar.
