Nice natural light! Is the coffee table in the middle of the room? "Allow around 18" between the table and sofa edge to give enough leg room but to be able to set down drinks or reach appetizers without straining." I don't know where you'd put the ottoman though.

It looks good, however you might want a bigger rug in your living room. The rug should go under the front legs of the sofa and all of the coffee table. Do you want artwork as well?

Will there be a TV? I think if possible, your table and chairs should be closer to the kitchen and your couch where the table is. All the paint colors you have picked look good.

Thanks for the advice guys. Currently haven't got enough budget for art. Looking to decorate first and slowly add art.

There will be a tv. This is causing me a real problem. I'm not too sure where to put the sofa so that it is facing a wall/ tv.

Options one would be sofa in the middle of the room either facing towards where the table is not or facing away with the tv on a tv stand.

Option 2 would be the sofa would be against the wall next to the balcony door facing the door (east facing, ignore the compass on the diagram) and the tv against the wall where the heater currently is.

Any ideas? I've added the floor plan to give you a better idea.
