Pantry Door Dilemma

Just built this 60"W pantry but it's in a small 34"W hallway so (2) 30"W outward opening doors would block the whole walkway. Also there is a step blocking 3" of the left side of the opening. So a bifold door would not work. I don't love the idea of (2) sliding doors because it really limits the opening size. I'd like to have it as open as possible. Any other door suggestions??

Jen IMO doing something like this (as a sample provided) would look much better and it will be more practical. Try to do a cabinet style built-in, Try to modify what you have there and put a frame around your shelving and put a few doors in. You can order unfinished doors online and finish them as you like... The end result will look like a piece of furniture.

How about a barn style door; or something like a motorized shutter (like for residential windows) that rolls up.

What about an accordion/bi-fold door mounted on a track from above?

You can even find the hardware at Lowe's and construct your own style of doors.

Thx all! We thought about cabinet style built-ins but it limits what we can store in there. We were leaning toward bi-fold doors but the stairs are in the way on the left. We are wondering if we could convert 2 sets of bi-fold doors into one 4-door accordion style door that opens to one side (to the right).

Check out Lowe's website. They had multiple top hung hardware with different configurations available. Seems doable to have it all stack to the right.
