Don't paint the brick :-)

If it were mind, I'd pull out all the hedges and high maintenance shrubs that have become overgrown. Have an up-to-date, open and airy landscape plan made that you can put in over time. Don't paint the brick, but you could do German smear on it if you like the cottage look. Beefier windows and window trim, lanterns that hang down and don't cover that trim board across the top, a nice walkway to the street would all help.

I agree with decoenthusiaste above. Also I would not do burgundy shutters with red brick. I like the black or darker hue of blue on the shutters. With major shrub removal.

I really like the house in picture no 3 this would work with our side load garage.To ad steps to the porch would it be better to center them or line up with front door. Any ideas on window style such as mullion configuration, column size, gutters

House #3 from Flo is one of my favorites for brick with black and white...classic.
