My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Wandering Stitchers' Retreats

Yup, we will have 2 retreats next year. The spring retreat will be April 11-15 at Quilter's Inn in Cosby TN. I think 10 is the max, but she may be able to make arrangements for more. We will once again make our own meals, but that hasn't been so bad so far. The price for 4 nights is $140 each (plus meals), so very doable. Good thing is there is a quilt shop attached. Bad thing is there is a quilt shop attached.


For the fall retreat, we are penciled in at the Ponderosa Retreat in Waynsville, NC arriving September 18 (a Tuesday) and departing Sept. 22 (a Saturday). There is a 10 people maximum, so I’d really like to hear from those of you who want to commit to our fall quilt retreat at this location in 2018. I know it might be a distance for some members, but if anyone — anyone at all, wants to find us another venue, I say go for it!


I am planning to attend both, but Tim will only make it to the spring one as he still has a job. Please let us know if you are interested in attending one or both. We are not planning any changes to our program, just bring things to work on and LRC charms.
