I'd go with the smaller one. This has less to do with the size of the wall than the proportions between your mirror and the console. The bigger one dwarfs the cabinet, IMO.

Yes, the chest is too small (and the bench, if it's staying there, is too long and fits awkwardly in the space). With a larger chest that fits the space better, you'll be able to use a mirror that fits the space as well.

Thanks everyone! We moved in only a few months ago so I can move the cabinet upstairs to the hallway and the bench to my master. They weren’t my priorities but I have the perfect place to put both. My search for a larger entry cabinet continues....

I forgot the light....

This light would be great for your entry. Picks up the black stair spindles and the gold mirror you like. I wouldn't use either of the pieces you posted. I'd look for a longer open console and put a seat or two underneath.

Bench or chest…one or the other…then choose your mirror.

Ignore the accessories as they are not Staying in that space, is this mirror too heavy looking with the frame? Should I go with a different shape or colour?
