I have a client who is interested in a modern steel or steel w/ cable staircase and can't find anyone in our area who can do it. Do you have any suggestions or do you have someone you recommend. We love all of the modern staircases posted on your web-site. We live in Phoenix, AZ.

check out cablerailings.com, they should be able to help you. Or google cable railing and you might find some one closer to home.

I have consulted with Metal fabriators and all seem hesitant to do it. Thanks for the suggestion on cablerailings...I think that's a better option.

I would consult w/ some of Phoenix's custom home architects re: a local source for the staircase. Companies such as cablerailings.com will be significantly more expensive.

Before you even start looking for companies I would find out what your area's building codes are for the railing. We in Ontario cannot have horizontal railings we can only have vertical, yours might also be the same.
