I'm redoing my living room, which has windows in a variety of sizes:

- sliding door

- corner windows

- long skinny window

- smaller front window

I'd like window coverings that I can open for maximum light during the day & close for privacy at night. Ideally, something that also keeps heat in on winter nights (and in the case of front window, keeps hot sun out in summer).

Most of my farmhouse/coastal inspiration photos in my ideabook show no window treatments, so I'm stumped.

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!!
