I am a big fan of ghost chairs. You are on the right track! What you are missing is color and accessories. First, I would omit the two traditional chairs and do all ghost chairs. Second, I'd paint your table either white, or an accent color (depending how bold you want to go). Adding a Mid-Century, or contemporary sideboard/buffet and modernizing your accessories and lighting would help complete the look.

IMO the chairs are too ornate a simple ghost chair would work much better and I never mix them with other chairs it just never works .

Hi Colleen,

If painting the existing table adding other modern pieces, accessories and lighting will help everything blend together. I always say 'yes' to an area rug. It helps complete the look of any space :)
