Is the Wide Distressed Colonial Red Picture Frame, Solid Wood, 14"x18" size the size of picture is holds? I have a 12”x 16” artwork and would like to use a matte as well. Is this the right size for me?

Hi-

Thank you for your interest in our frames!

Our frames are listed according to the size picture they will hold. The size refers to the size of the inside of the frame. For example, if you are needing to frame something that is an 12x16 you should purchase an 12x16 frame.

This would be the correct size if you are using a 1" mat all around your picture. That would add 2" to your overall frame size needed.
