IF you’re going with brass pulls I would do the faucet the same. I think the cabinet hardware & kitchen faucet should be the same IMO. Btw, I assume you’re in the middle of a kitchen remodel. Are you leaving those cabinets over the peninsula? Or, is that open shelving?

I would remove the two (open) boxes above the peninsula. The soft brass pulls and faucets will go beautifully with your stone. Personally, I would forgo any type of backsplash, your floor tile and stone are enough. Nothing wrong with an occasional coat of new paint if required.

I am a little nervous that the kitchen will appear too cold if everything is cool toned.

K Lauren, those cabinets will be all glass. And pendant lights with golden hardware on the other side of the cabinets.

Chiflipper, these will be glass cabinets with glass shelves. I can't remove them as the kitchen is small and every inch of space matters but I am making them glass in hope to make them less obtrusive.

I really would consider removing those two boxes. You'll constantly be ducking to look under them. Everything you have done is so beautiful, I feel these will be the wrong note.

Lila, they will be glass cabinets. They were there before, just not glass, they are actually pretty high up, it's just the picture looks stretched out. I can't remove them as the kitchen is tiny and I struggle for cabinet space.

I think it's an adorable little kitchen and I love your bold counter top. You're right to want to maximize space...

Love your kitchen so far, but like cor, before I even got to your post, I was thinking brushed nickel. It would go perfectly. And, again like cor, I too think brass would look like a miss. Totally out of place. You're on a roll here, keep it cool. ;) If you are afraid of "too cool", maybe warm up the BS just a smidge. Get something that ties in/matches the light color of your floor tile and counter. And you can use some warmer accessories. But don't use the brass, it won't work imho. :)

no nickel! the gold/brass is perfect. it's just enough to warm up the cool tones of the blue. Plus, your countertop has that bit of gold in it. just make sure faucet/hardware are the same. love your tile floor too. "you done good" lol

Well, in the end, it's a personal choice. Some of us say nickel, some say gold. Beauty in the eye of the beholder and all that. To me, a gold faucet with that sink, and counter, I personally wouldn't do it. But that's me.

ETA, I'll be honest, I think gold faucets look cheap. Sorry.

You CAN do a chrome (or nickel or stainless) faucet AND brass hardware.

I would buy the brass faucet (or just a few knobs) from a place with a decent return policy and see how it looks. I very much like the idea of brass, and it might be great, but we probably can't tell on our monitors.

That's what I am trying to do. I have a new faucet in chrome but not sure I like it though I am a fan of silver looking things vs gold. I ordered brass too. Brass handles look great (more champagne gold, not too yellow). Nervous about brass faucet though.

as someone stated,,,it's only a faucet. not a new car! if you don't like it, takes 5 mins to change out and return.

I think it will look good once you get your backsplash up there.

I like the brass way more than the cold sterile silver hardware. I think if you stay with a sleeker style of faucet the brass looks better. show us your end result. love the blue!

Note that your stove is stainless steel. Would go with stainless steel or brushed nickel for faucets and drawer pulls. You can always add warmer colors elsewhere. Have you considered collecting colorful trivets -- both useful and, hung on the wall, decorative as well.

Brass comes in and out of fashion so quickly. I was around the first time it was in and let me tell you those faucets and brass accessories dated mighty quickly. Avoid trends and stick with classics such as brushed nickel or brushed chrome. Brass is like the avocado appliances of the 70's or bell bottoms in and out of fashion in a blink.

I didn't know brass is a trend now. I am a little tired of stainless steel so I opted for a white sleek fridge and white dishwasher. Just can't replace the stove right now. Also, as somebody noted, I can always update the faucet and the pulls. I will try both colors and will see what looks better.

real brass has never been out of style. the cheap builder painted metal brass of the eighties is not brass. finishes are better than ever and brass is classic. it comes down to what you like for your home. to me all the white, grey silver is so sterile. adding the brass finish to highlight and contrast that beautiful countertop would be amazing. brushed nickel is not a classic. chrome is the classic silver finish.

I would stick with the finish as you posted on hardware and faucet. The only thing I would change is have the backs plash tile you posted only on the stove nook, then a simple tile with the rest. In your case the counter is the showpiece. Backsplash should not compete.
