If they are good quality white leather, you'll be fine w/ kids & everyday use.

I'm sorry, I cannot speak to their comfort.

My friend has these. I love them, but personally, I tend to find chairs that force you to recline a little bit and do not have arms to not be the most comfortable for extended seating or conversation. I don't have experience with white leather and how it cleans, but anything white at all scares me a bit with kids if it can't be washed down.

I have to agree. Gorgeous, but not terribly comfortable.

Another great mid-century iconic chair with a similar look but much better comfort is the Le Corbusier Chair ... or even the Wassily Chair. They are both big on style, but have arm rests and better back support, though the Wasily doesn't offer much in the way of padding.

I attached the sofa,tv console, and the rug (it is not the exact rug pattern but they are the same colors) that I want to have, I am finding it difficult to find two chairs that has chrome legs that looks good with it and comfortable too,I am open for new changes now given that the comfort is important for the living room furniture. I am scared of adding more colors or pattern cos I dont know how the results would be . I used to think white color would tie in nicely with the tv console, but only if its leather since its easier to clean . Do you think the colored chairs (lets say Red or lime green) would still look good.
Any more life-savers ideas are welcome!! :)

Brenda Thank you for the Pictures! I do like the Le Corbu.Chair only its dark,and I want to make the room feel lighter, specially that the sectional is already dark charcoal . I will keep that option in mind though.

I see Brenda has recommended the Wassily chair. IMO, it is the single most uncomfortable chair I have ever sat in. Someone else loves the Barcelona chair, something I would never choose for long term sitting. My point is to make sure YOU sit in it, assess it carefully for yourself.

Yes I read a lot of not so nice reviews about the Wassily Chair, and for now I think the Le Curbo. Chair is out of my budget. (the two chairs price will be equal to the price of the sectional+carpet+tv console!) So I will be looking for other ideal options.

I LOVE our chairs. The type of leather you choose will make a difference in the durability and ability to be cleaned. We don't use them for everyday sitting, so I cannot comment on that aspect.

I think the petit confort is a great alternative. Very comfy.

My only regret with these chairs is that I didn't buy them sooner.

Hi Wejo, We currently have 2 of the white Barcelona chairs in our living room. We bought them approximately 6-7 months ago, and they have held up great so far. They are comfortable to sit in, and the leather is easy to clean. My only warning is, make sure you have felt or rubber for the bottom of the legs if you have wood flooring, as they can scratch it.

They are very comfortable. And would be great with your very modern sectional. Buy them.

I think they are very comfortable, but you may want a small pillow to support your back if you are using them to watch tv.

I love the lime green chair ideal. A pop of color is always good. You have great taste don't doubt yourself.

2013!

After buying them on 2013 I needed to update with my review regarding this purchase .

Don't buy them for a living room !! since 2013 we had a baby and moved from an apartment to a house . Our needs became different and so what we wanted in our living room .

We love the look of them but honestly not practical so we moved them to the guest room . When we had guests no body wanted to sit in them because they are uncomfortable. Period. Everyone will get crowded in the sectional. Not to mention how hard it is to baby proof them and generally take care of them with a running toddler in the house .

I am so glad we were able to find other spot for them in our new house. In the apartment it would've took a big space in the rooms. We didn't re sell them because they will sell for a really low price and we still think they are beautiful. Maybe in the future we can find a spot for them in a home office or something . They are timeless pieces of furniture , just not for long time use.
