I think the silver is a little too gray. Not sure it will go with all the warmer colors you have already. The Cameo works better IMO. (Try to remove the 4inch granite piece before putting in backsplash)

You have been given the best advice from the last two posters. Heed it.

I don't think it adds anything to your kitchen. Plus you need to remove the 4" piece of granite first or you really won't see that tile

Thanks for the input. I do have a very busy granite and have been looking for a backsplash for months now. Nothing seems to work. I am considering removing the 4in backsplash but I'm nervous if doing so will ruin my countertop.

I have also considered going completely dark or using a white mosaic tile before. Do any of these seem to work?

Leaving the 4" backsplash and then adding a tile backsplash???

It doesn't look fine to a professional, just like knee socks don't look right with high heels, but you can still get the shoes on your feet.

I would consider a matching glazed beadboard for your backsplash.

What is your concern about removing the 4" strip? It is likely just siliconed in place and sitting on top of your countertop stone, along with a bead of sealant where it meets the counter.

I really like glass tiles and I'm trying to incorporate a glass backsplash with my granite. I'll probably consider marble too.

As for the 4-inch backsplash, the tile design helper had expressed concern about cracking the countertop if we tried to remove it. Is that not something I should be worried about?

Cabinet has dark edging, and if grout is the opposite: white-ish, I don't like.
