can granite be warped? Granite install

Had granite installed on new cabinets. It looks like it's sagging, bowing in center. Granite is high on one end & dios in center. When granite was being installed, shims were used on one end & in other end cabinet was raised one inch off floor for the two pieces to match. The granite installer is telling me my cabinets weren't level. The contractor of cabinets said we have a bad piece of granite. The contractor out a 3' level in center & it was not level. Then did a string from corner to opposite corner was 1/4" off. The installer jacked up the cabinet so the 2 pieces would match. I now have a granite counter that in one end is stuck to a cabinet that's now 1" off floor. This is all wrong!!! What do we do? Is granite bad?
