wow, thats exactly it - I want it done but cant get over its not done right.

Coming from someone who has a ton of pocket doors in their home, when our doors are shut we never see light through them and that would bug me if we did. I suppose I don't understand why it would be your cost to fix the door? It sounds like the contractor messed up the door originally and now "fixed it" again but it's still not correct...

Maybe the size of the door is incorrect and builder doesn't want to replace?

That door was installed incorrectly or measured incorrectly or both, As per J design above light should not bleed through on top and sides. New door at their expense.

What would really bother me is that in the first pic of the bad installation, the right side of the door has no light leaking through, but in the “fixed” installation, you have light leaking all the way around (albeit in lesser amounts).

It looks as though you are missing the jamb stops on all three sides.
