Perhaps using wrinkle release, which is just a spin cycle, would work.

Pcweary...the Wrinkle Release is just a 10 minute tumble after the final spin to release the clothes from the sides of the drum and fluff them up.

My brain is a little fuzzy this morning but wouldn’ t that help somewhat. I have never tried an extra spin only cycle; shall put that on my to-do list.

Pcweary...no it wouldn't help as the original poster just wants to re-spin damp clothes with out adding a rinse.

The Wrinkle Release would just add back and forth tumbling AFTER the spin.

I think maybe I didn’t hold the “options” button long enough because it just starts blinking. Maybe if I hold it longer it will stop blinking and deselect the extra rinse?

I think I figure it out by accident! Holding it down just made it blink but I accidentally hit the “set” button and the light stayed off. I’m not completely sure that’s what did it since I hit the start button at the same time, but at least I know it did work somehow.

Assuming it is the “set” button, it’s so obvious it isn’t even written in the manual! At least, not in that part of it, maybe it’s somewhere else. I definitely have selected other features from that panel for other cycles, but maybe they didn’t run and I didn’t notice since I didn’t “set” them.

LOL,I just did a test on mine and discovered after many attempts that yes, hitting the set button finally turned off the extra rinse. Yea! Glad you are enjoying your machine.

Does anyone know how to just get a spin cycle?

First select extra rinse on left. It should read 12 minutes. Then pick extra rinse from the option side and it should start blinking. Then tap select/deselect and it should then read 8 or 9 minutes and just start your spin.

Not a good choice for woolens. It spins them around, in both directions, to balance and they were starting to get fuzzy. Don’t want to turn them to felt.

All frontloaders run a distribution routine to balance the load for spin.

My Electrolux front loader has a spin only option. Yours does not? If you can’t find in the manual try calling their customer service.

This is for the 617 so I’m not sure it applies to woolens anyway, but good to know. I was looking to use it to add spin only cycles to down.

The spin only option is available on the 617 but it’s confusing to select because it isn’t clear in the manual. After you choose the “options” for a cycle you have to press the “select” button for a moment until it starts blinking. Then you can change the details for each option. So for spin only, you have to choose “options,” then the light will start blinking, then press “set” and the light for “extra rinse” will turn off. Then it is a spin only cycle.

For anyone who’s model has control lock and fresh rinse buttons, here’s what you do ; put it on rinse & spin mode. Make sure your spin speed is set to something other than no spin, hold down the fresh rinse button for 3-5 seconds and then you should only see the spin speed light on. hit start. It drains the. Starts spinning.

Counterintuitive, but that's how they programmed it...

It wirked! i had washed a heavy bathroom rug and needed to getbthe excess water out only… the key was the blinking light in the options section as mentioned! press tge deselect then the light under optiins begins to blink which will gonoff in a few seconds. then press start!

You need to reference the model number of washer involved in your questions to get answers specific to it.

In general, all washers nowadays always run cold rinses and there is no switch or option to select a rinse temperature. Hot wash is a matter of selecting it on the wash Temperature options. Some cycles may not allow Hot temperature, so in that case choose a difference cycle that does allow it (example, Heavy or Allergen or Sanitize). Note also that the washer may mix in some cold to purposely reduce the Hot temperature in the machine to lessen the energy usage of the washer, particularly on the designated Normal cycle which is the basis for energy ratings.

Canceling a running cycle is typically by pressing and holding the Start/Pause button for a few seconds which makes it function as a Cancel. Canceling may drain but not spin. Use the Spin Only cycle to spin the load (which also will drain first if the Cancel didn't do it). How to select Spin Only may vary from one washer to another, which is why you need to state the model number with your questions.

A Soak option or cycle is provided if the washer can soak. It is not provided on all models, which again is why you need to state the model of machine with your question. Delay is not for soaking. It is to set the washer to start running a selected number of hours later.

The manual on this subject is quite incorrect. I tried 3 times to cancel the rinse part, just to spin the small throw rug dry, and water kept pouring in, like it was going to rinse and spin.

Did you do it this way?

I have a newer Electrolux now but the manual is still unclear about this. In order to turn off the rinse you have to select the rinse and spin cycle, then use the options and select to turn off the rinse. The light next to “rinse” is automatically on so when it’s been changed to spin only the light will turn off.

Spin speed presumably is adjustable for less than Max(imum), either before or after un-selecting Extra Rinse, before pressing Start.

Selecting No Spin (presumably, if that's possible) makes it a Drain without a spin occurring.
