i'd do a solid subway. since you dont want that, do the solid herringbone its a nice classic too. the other two choices would look too busy for current tastes.

If you are choosing a tile with white, be sure it is the same white as your cabinets or countertop. The two options on the left read whiter to me. The right tile works better from a colour perspective but I’m not a fan of patterns meeting so I’d also use a solid coloured tile, in a soft grey from your countertop. For me, a plain backsplash lets the countertop and cabinets be the visual stars in the room. I also dislike subway tiles but there are options for plain tiles, such as square tiles with beveled edges.

Your quartz has very large veining (gorgeous)...all those tiles are too small. A solid grey (pillowed or bevel cut) in a large size. I'd prefer a matte finish.

Let the counter be the star. Plain tile backsplash in white, black, or gray.

The less busy, the better. I agree to let the counter be the star of the kitchen. Larger white matte subway tile with matching grout, making sure it matches the white in the countertop, is the way to go.

I would get something in gray to pull out the beautiful gray in your counter

Have you thought about possibly making the backsplash are the same material as your counter? If you kept everything else very neutral it might look good. Otherwise I would do a white, simple maybe 3 x 9 subway tile, without a bevel , to keep the backsplash calm, because your countertop has so much movement to it .

acm' s pic would be a good option - a soft backdrop for your countertop that's nice on the eyes but also lets the countertop be the star. Overall the look of the kitchen is simple elegance
