Does the ottoman swivel 360 deg. easily?

Hi. I bought the ultra-prem. version from UrbanFurnishings. I couldn't get the ottoman cushion to swivel (friction from the paint) smoothly/at all. What was your experience like with the ottoman?

The ottoman, if forced, will swivel. However, I do not believe its supposed to be swiveled and I cannot find any reference to support that the original design swivels either. And I'm not sure why you would want it to.
