Teal and deep purple are a good combination. The room seems well-balanced and forms a good conversation group. If you post again, take photos from all four walls to take in all the space so that colors, style, harmonize and flow.

. Two things:

--the painting is bold enough to stand on its own, so remove the piece above it.

--Add a pillow or two in pink and teal so reference the painting and chair:

The amount of purple would seem to overwhelm a more delicate rosy color of art. I'd choose different art...

I think you are off to a good start, but I agree with above that a larger piece of art with both the purple and teal would be better.

I agree with everdebz. Teal and purple really are a great combination, but offer a more bold appearance than the delicate piece of art you have hanging above the sofa.

Since you have those pretty lamps, why not use that color more?

how about if I framed these mandalas?

I'd say pretty wow! Idk what they are, though. :)

These are mandalas designs that I colored myself.

I don't think the mandalas will be large enough, and they add an exotic vibe that just doesn't fit your other decor. They might be fun in the powder room or guest bath.

What about placing the two mandalas vertically by each side of the window? The colors are beautiful, but because of your large bold art over the sofa, they look distracting where they are. In any case, your place looks wonderful.

what if I found two vertical mirrors or art walls similar to this and put right next to it.

I would remove the metal thingy over the print and try and find a different painting. IMHO, the print over the sofa is something one would expect to find in a hotel room.

I rarely suggest mirrors, but that curvy sofa back seems to be begging for a round mirror above the center dip.

The lamps need to be beefed up. Remove the garland, and frame the art. Once framed, the art should be hung lower.

I'm acually looking for an abstract that has purple, teal , gold and abit of black.

Turn the mirror in the dining area.

The blue lamps would look better at the sofa.

Dina, The previous art is so much better choice.

I like it better than the other one but it needs to be 5" above the sofa back. Still think a round mirror that picks up on the coffee table shape will look good.

Switching the lamps will make a big difference. The teal at the sofa will add much needed color and the clear lamps on the buffet will lighten up the dining room.

I like the art you had over the sofa before. It's quite unique and the size is better with the sofa. Lower the art to 4" above the sofa and center it properly. Consider moving the large flower painting into the dining area - hung vertically - on the right of the window.

The pillows on the sofa can be more colorful as suggested above and bigger - 20x20 down filled.

The window treatment curtains could use some color and texture for a more luxurious style. Your basics are perfect, now is time to layer to create a special room.

Add a simple cornice and side panels to add to the elegance

While the colors of your wall art pieces work, I think they are a bit lightweight for the mass of solid colors and the large sofa below. I would look for a more rectangular vertical painting in a wider frame. The floral and the metal art may work better on another wall.

I could put wall scones or I could group it with other art pieces...or would that give a messy look?

Your room is very nice maybe just add two nice floral cushions as suggested by housegal200 on your chairs. Also I prefer your blue lamps in your room. U have enough purple and I like your picture in your first picture.

I absolutely love your blue abstract! It is working so nicely in your more traditional room. It just making room so fresh. And nice together with lamp from dining room.

Geez, not floral pillows. A tapestry pattern could work. Stripes or textures could work also.

The blue lamps look great as does the blue art. Truthfully, I didn't like the big tulips but responded to what you showed us. One or two of those pattern pillows Beverley posted would add a little more texture.

Perfect! Next I would change curtains. Solid cream silky panels that you install wider then window...

unfortunately panels are fairly new so I'm going to keep them as is unless they really odd

The blue art and the blue lamps look so nice at the sofa and the clear lamps on your buffet works beautifully. It made such a big difference. I like your tulip art but I know what you mean about changing it up, especially with art and accessories.

I wouldn't change your curtains, just add to it with solid side panels beyond the actual window. It will add more elegance.
