replacing cherry colored laminate in large eat-in kitchen, dining room, back foyer, small half bath and laundry room. love hardwood but afraid to spend that much money on hardwood for laundry and bathroom. having a hard time trying to decide whether to put tile in all the areas except the dining room, which will break up the flow and also just too much tile. thought about back foyer, br and lr and do kitchen and d.r. and front foyer in hardwood. i am just partial to hardwood, the warm look it gives but know that tile is more suitable for an area where most of my time is spent. any suggestions?
