What’s the condition of roof and guttering? Making more of the entrance would be good eg path verandah

I think wooden look window shutters, a bullnose verandah, complete with a wagon wheel in the garden, an old rusty looking water pump water feature & wrought iron seating (with some scatter cushions) in a sweet country garden would be great :) here’s some pix for inspiration

Carlie, could you post some pics of what country means to you in a lookbook? There is tonnes of inspiration here on Houzz. If you search modern farmhouse there is great inspiration. Also have a search of "Fixer Upper" on Pintrest.

I would repair what needs fixing first. Stormwater, gutters are usually overlooked. Replace with new will help. Fresh paint and thorough pressure clean of masonry. I would just leave the house as is aside from this maintenance renovation work.

Then upgrade the landscape as this where you'll get the country style. Very difficult to change an existing house style to another without spending up big. This is why landscaping is such good value for money. Nik Star is spot on with her pictures, very country.

Okay it did. The images are to give some ideas of diff front verandahs for ranch style homes. Another possibility would be to also have a deck (out the back) with a pergola where you can grow something gorgeous like ornamental vine or similar (if it won't interfere with the beautiful shade tree), and have a cosy seating arrangement where you can enjoy your amazing scenery.

I know people generally advise against painting brick but depending on your views about upkeep , with some landscaping and paint you could achieve a look a bit like this weatherboard lovely.... wouldn't normally suggest painting the brick but could work here again your scenery.
