36 inch over range microwave

We have a 6 or 7 year old GE Profile over the range microwave. It is a true 36" microwave as our cooktop is also 36". Mod JVM3670WF06. The oven made a loud noise like a machine gun and now blows the breaker any time you try to use it. GE sent an independent service tech out who said it would probably cost too much to fix and should just get a new one installed by Lowes. But I am finding there is now apparently no such thing as a 36" microwave. You can get a 30" with filler panels which I am told may or may not look right. Any advice would be appreciated.

I would look at replacing with a regular canopy type hood and putting your microwave somewhere else. Is that possible? 36" OTR Microwaves look HUGE and they are deeper and taller now than they were a few years ago.

Look on Sears outlet website. You might be lucky. Here is one in Illinois...but like I stated...look at the depth!

Well I guess they exist after all, though we will need a white one. We'd rather have a microwave vs vent-a-hood as the oven would take up valuable real estate on the cabinet top. Thanks!

Funny, I just posted about looking for a good hood because I'm pulling out the microwave over my range. This is the third microwave we've had to have installed here in 17 years. They simply do not last. I don't even like lifting things up and into the thing.

I need a 30" fan/light. No venting possible. White or Black.
