ants aphids and the lucky citrus tree

My visitor from Buxman citrus farm grows his citrus organically. He has ants and the aphids they keep. The ants kill any other insect pest that would attack the tee. The county extension agent ask Paul if he could place pest eggs on his tree and set up a camera to see why his trees were the only trees in the area to be pest free and organic. In less than an hour the ants found the eggs and destroyed them.

Paul said the biggest pest problems come from the big corporate orchards. Paul's customers told him that the 'big-boys' told them that they would refuse to sell their fruits to them if they bough any from Paul. Paul is limited to selling to small independent stores and road side stands.
