My Jaclo shower bars do not move at all, even when moving the shower head bracket up/down or twisting to the side.

Too bad you didn't search here before buying Newport Brass. Many of us here have complained over the last few years about issues with NB products.

I installed them in 2 bathroom and will never buy a faucet or other bath hardware from them again. They look nice, but several pieces have had issues with parts loosening regularly. Never had a problem like that with any other brand. I did 5 bathrooms the last 3 years, so it isn't an installation issue as the other bathrooms without NB have no problems.

Hi and thank you! We did research Newport Brass - but not on Houzz. I feel as thought this is likely an installation issue as opposed to a NB issue - but happy to keep everyone updated! I am glad to hear that the bar you own does not move. I called the store I purchased our products from and they told me that their display does not move either. I think my plumber just didn't measure correctly and doesn't want to take ownership. I know that they are going to suggest putting a sealant in to hold it in place - but not sure if that is the best solution.

Also, the temperature valve they installed comes off the plate easily and that is not acceptable to me either. We are just finishing our bathroom renovation and the fixture installation is important because it is a steam shower - and needs to have tight seals to create a good water vapor barrier.

Of course we are at the tail end of our project and anxious to be done! But, we want it done correctly to avoid any future issues. I do wish I had used this site from the beginning of our project for other questions. Thank you for taking the time to respond!
