Mirrors by the bed are considered unsettling because you see yourself in the dark and it can be unsettling. I love the wallpaper idea. I've thought of doing that for my own bedroom. Looking forward to seeing your finished. I LOVE the first swatch.

I love all those papers! The mirrors should have glass/mirrored/metallic framing based on the papers you've added.

Grey Heron Interiors - i picked so many. how i am suppose to decide on the right color? my headboard is tan and I've been tanned out for the past 4 years. i want to try gray, hence the picture up top, but then the shiny gray looks kind of off with my headboard which is why i thought i needed more texture. Am i over thinking this?

The Darcy Wallpaper, White and Gray wallpaper is the way to go with the style & shape of your furniture, as well as, the other patterns going on in the room. It'll also be a nice light and bright addition to the space.

Agree with Aunt Thelma and would like to add that mirrors across from the bed are a very bad idea too. Maybe even more so than mirrors above end tables next to the bed.

If you are a believer in Feng shui, If I'm not mistaken mirrors reflecting toward the bed is considered bad luck and bad luck for relationships. And another vote for the 'Darcy' paper, the soft circles and light soft feeling it gives is a nice contrast & compliment to the dark classic wood furniture.

Some ideas, added just part of the wall with wallpaper that looks like the Darcey I couldn't do the whole wall, I would have if I could have. With such a busy wallpaper, I would be careful about adding art. The wallpaper itself is art.

It's your bedroom, if you want mirrors above the nightstands do it. Imo I think they'd look nice as long as they're not to big. Maybe ones with a wide deep edge. Have fun and show us the after pictures. Please. I always wonder what was decided and how does it look.

I would do both wallpaper and mirrors too, it would look really nice. The Darcy Wallpaper, White and Gray, will work. Also, tint of brown in above wallpapers would go with flooring too.

The mirror will be in the bottom portion of them, and what is on the opposite wall that they would be reflecting?

As to wallpaper on the wall as an accent wall, that seems to be the trend now, as a shiplap wall was a trend a year or two ago.

Here's the problem with a wallpaper wall.

When you decide to hang a thing or two, and then change them around, you are stuck with irreparable holes in the wallpaper as well as large unsightly faded squares and rectangles where your pictures (or mirrors) were.

You might change your bed linens and find that your wallpaper doesn't suit.

Have you ever tried to remove wallpaper?

That's a job you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy.

Well, maybe your worst enemy, especially if you can also stick them with the bill to repair your damaged dry wall too.

Why not just find some art work?

Do you think you may not be liking your paint color? How about something lighter?

What about a chandelier? What is there now looks like the cheapie the builder left there. Why not put something there that is lovely and tasteful?

Bedside lamps with cleaner lines would look better than the ornate ones that are there now.

Does the rug really coordinate with the colors of the bedding? It doesn't seem to be the right size. The purpose is so that when you get out of bed, you will be stepping on it, rather than on the cold floor.

Mirrors would not be safe on bedroom walls in areas with earthquake risk.

Prefer 2 side by side pictures above the bed as you really have enough going on. Nice bedding!

I’ve been meaning to change my rug but it’s so hard to pick one. Also, I don’t want to spend a fortune on a rug. I’ve been eyeing some cheap ones online that is neutral. But I want something blingy or something that has color. Like the saveiah oriental rug with a hint of pink. I found this which Is reasonably priced for my budget. I feel like this matches my headboard which is a shimmery tan. It won’t match the bedding exactly but I want something that allows me to switch between the two colors, tan and gray. Thoughts. I love the comments by the way.

I will not go with the mirrors if I do the wallpaper. I agree with having holes in the event I want to switch my bedroom around. Also, I’m getting peel and stick wallpaper. I didn’t want to paint the rest of the room. Hard to get my husband to paint. Also, I will also get new lighting. I’ve hated it for far too long. I like the flush mount suggestions. On Zulily and houzz shop looking for one under $100. I have a bunch of other projects going on that I have to take it easy.

Again, thanks for all the suggestions. I’m going to order my wallpaper and show a progress update.

I don't think you need any wallpaper at all.

To add a little zip to the room, you can add a touch of one color, and carry it through with a few things, like one throw pillow, a plant, and a picture.

Think of the color you want and then look for objects that have it.

If you want a bit of orange or red or pink or scarlet you can get a coleus plant.

There are indoor plants with purple and green foliage.

I am just suggesting plants, because fresh flowers are pricey to have everyday.

Or you can do just green, or any other color.

Grey and silver are neutrals, so they go with any color, so you can pick some accessories and a not exorbitant pilllow and picture for over your bed, and then when you want a change, you can.

pontes_mari, Love the new rug & how the pattern in the rug mirrors the similar pattern in the curtains! I think the wall paper will look spectacular, & will bring all the wonderful elements of the pretty room together! If you change your mind about wall paper for some reason, I also think a large round art piece of some type above the bed could also look good. --But I love your wall paper idea & can't wait to see after photos --please post!! : - }
