I am renovating my kitchen and want to create a built-in hutch in the dining area with matching cabinetry and countertops. The wall is 140" long. I am constrained by one end, where the adjoining wall will have a patio door which requires ~25" clearance. The cabinets are ceiling height.

Should I center the hutch on the wall or should I push it to the be flush with the corner (left side of room, with no patio door)? Moving to the corner would allow me to add more cabinets and maximize storage. Also wondering if the upper cabinets on either end should extend down to the countertop instead of floating above as pictured? (please zoom in to see the image and comments).

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
