Freezer question

I have a Whirlpool EV200NXKQ00 BUILT IN 2001. It quit cooling and I found that the Evaporator fan was not turning. So I replaced the fan motor and all seemed well. Except that it quit again and the new fan was not turning. I turned it off and on and it started up.

So I got a temp monitor with an alarm and a log of Max/Min temps. About every 16 hours or so, it warms up to 26 degrees or so and then cools back down to about -10. The sensor is on the Top shelf.

Is this normal? I am having some trust issues with this freezer and would like to get it back on the Straight and Narrow!

A temp rise reasonably will occur during defrost, assuming it's a self-defroster. I can't say how much rise is within specifications. Perhaps you can investigate/confirm if defrost is what's happening.
