Bought my first preconstruction condo. Going through some surprises now. Initially they were going to have the tiles flush to the side of the bathtub, allowing for a bigger shower (approximate 30 in)

They came back and said " UNFORTUNATLY, THE FAUCET FOR THE TUB UNDERNEATH IS FLUSH TO THE TB. SOMETHING WE JUST FOUND OUT . WE CANNOT TO THE TILE UNDERNEATH AS PLANNED. OUR ONLY OPTION IS TO MAKE THE PODIUM ABOUT 1’’ INSTEAD OF OUR STD"

This would make it about 29"+- This is going to be a essentially a wetroom. I was just wondering if this is not good and if would of been better to have a smaller bathtub to gain more space
