All of the above and lower the art it can even be hung a bit lower than the center of the piece at 60” in a DR. Get some drapes .Hang a larger piece of art where the 3 discs are.

You have pretty furniture but you need some color, sorry but even your highlight wall is kind of a dull and not adding anything. Large art like the one in njmomma sample would wake your room up. A glass bowl with color from your art on the table would be pretty.

Choose a rug, then wall color plus all other tips from others

I wonder what the table would look like turned the other way and centered under the middle canned light? It might allow more space for the side board on one of the longer walls - try it on the wall where the piece of artwork is now to balance with the windows. I agree with the others re: a rug, curtains, large colorful artwork, and removal of the corner piece.

I would recommend the following items for the room.

Select a colorful framed piece of vertical art for the wall. Then select painted plates to decorate the wall above the sideboard. Because of the finish of the wood, blue/green would be very complementary in the room.

Then for mirrors, I'd suggest antique glass like these from Crate & Barrel

    They are stunning in person.

The red accent wall is great, and red is a very good color to have in dining areas, which is why it is often used in restaurants, eateries, etc. Also looks like you have warm wood and red accenting in adjoining room, so the red in dining room connects the spaces.

I would just reframe the blue art, in a black frame along these lines.

And maybe bring in a chandelier or some sort of statement light fixture. If you don't have wiring for it, you could use a swag chandelier.

That's all I would do and I think the reframing is the main thing.

    You have a nice space.
