What zone are you in.... I did not think asparagus grew in Florida. I am Zone 10.... do you have nematodes.... do you have to worry about them... Yours looks really really good. Thank you.

Thanks! I’m in zone 9, definitely have nematodes but they do not seem to bother the plants. The heat here is a problem and the plants need to be mulched and not allowed to dry up. I think zone 10 would really be a challenge.

Mine is just starting to come up. Sense I just planted them at this house last year they are very spindley. But I can wait a couple of years for them

I know you probably told us in a previous post, but what variety are you growing?

We have both Jersey Knight and Mary Washington. Can’t really say one is better than the other but I would probably go with the Jersey.
