it's that time of year. I'm having no luck getting seed to germinate. I had a section that I sodded after some construction work. I had some topsoil hauled in. I did not treat with any weed killers. the result was that what my hound did not pee to death crabgrass & weeds grew thru. after treating with weed killer i'm having no luck getting seed to grow. it's nearly a year later so I do not think the weed & feed is the problem. I've scratched the soil with a rake, covered lightly with straw, & kept the seed wet. no grow. any hints? my yard has become a mud fest.
