Too small in scale IMO and perhaps too gray.

Love your wood floors. Is there a reason you have not extended them to the front door and then just used a rug at the entrance?

Thanks for your reply! We are actually making the entry larger than it was initially. We are unable to match the hardwood so using tile. what color of tile would you suggest?

It is hard to tell from the tile sample resting on the hardwood---is there a color in the tile that relates to the wood tone? Will the tile butt up to wood flooring on the room to the right, as well?

Consider running the tile rotated to diamond shape. I think it will keep foyer from looking less like a tunnel. And consider grout color as well, dark hides stains and dirt.

What makes you say you cant match the wood?

You should be able to match the wood it is just an oak. A floor finisher should be able to match it very closely. Given that the space is small it probably wont cost much either.
