Basement paint and flooring projects

Hi all,

I recently embarked on 3 of my basement projects that are closely related...1) Painting fireplace, trim, doors, etc. 2) Strip carpet, tile and vinyl then clean and replace with new vinyl plank flooring 3) wire and setup Home theater w/ tv mounted in fireplace (may hire out for this). There is one project that may be a fast follower here, replacing wood fireplace with gas.

Anyway, I just finished the first coat of paint on everything after priming, sanding and cleaning. Thought it made since to do this first as I don’t need to protect the floor from paint if I’m going to tear out anyway. The most difficult thing I’ve come across thus far is painting the windows, and getting to all the wood in a manner that looks consistent, any wisdom on this? Also, I’m open to any advice to help me avoid major pitfalls.
