I would for sure have 2 seating areas I have a 15 x 25 LR and it handle 2 seating space quite nicely. I see a huge wasted area in your floor plan, does anyone play piano it might be a nice spot for a baby grand

If you need an island that seats 6, I assume you need a large living room.

Options:

You could do two seating areas, one around the TV and one around the fireplace as Beverly suggested. If you only want one seating area, it is too large.

Your entry and stairs could be moved up to eat up some of the space not being used at the bottom of the living room, but that will effect your exterior and the door on the bottom right, so that would likely work better if you swapped the stairs and entry.

You could move the door in the bottom left of the living room down so the TV arrangement can be moved down and use more of that space near the entry. Then you would have more room for the fireplace arrangement.

I think that I would just make it part of the entry. Maybe add a rug and possibly a round entry table. Not sure what your ceiling is like in that area but you could add a hanging light over the table.
