I love our Miele. If you are planning on the stainless steel panel, then it's a no-brainer, go with Miele. Their clean stainless works beautifully. Otherwise it's down to layouts and lighting, since I think they are both the same internally, more or less (i realize Miele has some extras- I just don't think those are fundamental to how the refrigerator works- I could be wrong.)

Yeh, I'm doing stainless steel. Looking at them in person - it did seem like the Miele's fit/finish was nicer for some reason - I couldn't put my finger on why. Maybe it's this clean stainless steel finish...

Thanks Designby... I considered the Thermador package, but based on feedback here, and running numbers, it seemed like it made more sense to get the right brand/appliance without regard to packages. The only reason I'm considering the Miele package is bc Miele is my top choice for DW and Fridge.

Avoid Miele Mastercool. Delivered New Mastercool with faulty door. the door gets stuck when closing and needs a hard push or slam to close. Miele refursed to acknolwedge this as defect and refused to fix it. The product is clearly faulty as the fridge in showroom does not have this problem at all. You are going to get poor quality and no warranty honour after purchase. Avoid Miele at all costs if you don't want defects from brand new.
