Often times file drawers are located in a console behind or next to a desk increasing the flexibility in size, shape and style of the desk as well as its location.
In this age of computers and printer/scanners for home offices, many previously filed paper documents can now be “filed” in your computer or on an external hard drive for immediate access. Other papers can then be stored elsewhere for the occasional reference.
