This is common with oiled finish. You have to wash the floor and re-apply the colored oil.

Rubio has a confusing array of maintenance products. My rep told me to do two things. Dilute the oil soap with water 100:1, spray and mop, and apply the same oil as used on the original floor very year or two.

You are rubbing off the coloured oil. It simply needs to be applied once again. That's it. That's all. You're about to experience you first maintenance reoiling. You will need to learn the technique to sand and then reapply.

This is the norm for oiled floors.

Oiled floors are sold as the better choice, to be able to repair scratches,etc. But that comes with a requirement to re-oil. It isn’t once and done. It’s ongoing maintenance.
