I’ve heard them called ball tip hinges, but I’m not sure if that’s exactly what yours is. Hopefully an expert sees this.

Try looking at google images of: “vintage ball tip hinges” or just “vintage hinges”.

Yes, that brings up some pics that are a match ... thanks! Now, I need to determine the difference between mortised, half mortised and non mortised hinges! These will be for existing built ins in the kitchen with inset doors ... someone must have replaced the originals bc these are shorter than the cut out notch inside the cabinet and they don’t have the decorative ball tip.

phamm - look here (found it via Google images) for diagrams of what the different hinge types are - it has to do with how much of the fastening "plate" of the hinge you see/what surface the hinge plates are attached to

Mortised hinge bc there are cutout notches in the cabinet base and the door where the hinge sits in snug...

They are mortised ball-top butt hinges.
