Please help - Wolf versus Miele ovens and induction cooktop

We are building a new house and are having a hard time deciding between the following options:

Option 1: Wolf M or E series professional handle 30 inch convection oven with Wolf M series professional handle convection-steam oven stacked above it, and 36 inch Wolf induction cooktop with stainless trim

OR

Option 2: Miele Sensotronic Contourline handle clean touch steel 30 inch convection oven with Miele M-Touch Countourline handle clean touch steel XL combi-steam (either plumbed or non-plumbed) stacked above it (with trim kit), and 36 inch Miele induction cooktop with stainless trim

With either option, would have Subzero stainless built-in fridge/freezer (with professional handle), Miele clean touch dishwashers (with contour handle), and Sharp microwave drawer.

Which option would you choose and why?? We really need help. Thank you!!

To add, we are not chefs or big cooks but would like to cook more. Ease of use of appliances, as well as aesthetics, are both important to us. Thank you!

I prefer Miele Ovens over wolf due to the feedback on the enamel chipping and the Wolf M uneven baking (long running active thread in the appliance forum). My Miele oven works beautifully and I enjoy using the different available modes. I also prefer the amount of control with miele CSO over Wolf. The Wolf CSO is easier to clean. I assume you are wanting to get the Miele 10% rebate promotion so not sure how the economics work out between the two brands and your options above. I love my SZ fridge and freezer. Either induction cooktops should serve you well - the miele is more $ but more feature rich.

i am in same boat deciding between Miele and Wolf for cooking. I am getting the same fridge and dishwasher, i just got off with my sales guy who says hands down Miele Combo Steam oven better product than Wolf and he said easier to clean. He says regular ovens are comparable. I have done lots of research and would not buy the Wolf E Series oven from what i have read. I would get the M series if you went with Wolf. I am getting a gas rangetop so dont know much about induction. However, someone just told me they have the Miele induction top and love it.

Thank you so much everyone for your great advice. We have been agonizing over this for too long.

For the Wolf v. Miele 36 inch induction cooktop, the Miele definitely seems to have more functionality. But it seems maybe Wolf is easier to use with the touch controls versus number touch controls on the Miele? Also, this may be silly, but the Miele in straight black seems to show more fingerprints. Also Wolf now has a new 36 inch transitional induction cooktop with silver rim with what looks like more a charcoal grey surface rather thank straight black (it is black with a lot of dots so looks more grey). I know silly to rely just on aesthetics though but we are having an all white kitchen and the lighter color cooktop would be nice but maybe still really looks dark or maybe can’t even really see the cooktop when in the kitchen and not really in front of it. So there are all those considerations. What do you think? Still go with Miele?

Another consideration is qualifying for a package. Whatever we pick for the induction cooktop plus oven qualifies us either for $1000 rebate from Subzero-Wolf (with fridge/freezer) or 10 percent discount off Miele. So if go with Wolf induction, then need 1 Wolf oven. We plan to stack a regular oven with combi steam so that means then Wolf oven and Wolf steam oven but it does seem that Miele has a much better combi steam.

Could do the Miele induction cooktop, Miele combi-steam, and Miele oven, but have the issues with the cooktop described above. And from a silly aesthetic perspective, we prefer the Subzero-Wolf professional look, but silly to base appliance selections on look.

What do you think? Worth it to go all Miele for ovens and induction? Or is the Wolf sufficient and get the look?

Some people really like the M Wolf oven (apparently fixed chipping issues or made easier to replace) but bad not to have convection bake and convection broil? Then E might be better because has both but then lose the Wolf gourmet features and maybe chipping issue.

Re Wolf steam some people really like it and a new model looks better but maybe mostly improvements with facade.

Go with all Miele? Ok to have Miele contourline clean touch stainless ovens and induction in all white more traditional kitchen (white shaker cabinets and white silestone counters)? And ok to mix with Subzero built-in fridge/freezer and Wolf low profile wall hood?

Soo very much appreciate your feedback. Thank you!!!

Kim G - Why is the Wolf steam oven easier to clean? Also which Miele convection oven do you have? We would get the Miele M Touch combi-steam, possibly plumbed, and the Miele sensortronic or direct dial regular oven. Do you recommend the Miele plumbed or non-plumbed combi-steam? Seems easier to plumb in a new house but based on feedback, more complicated, so maybe to avoid issues, get non-plumbed? Or worth it to plumb? Any advice on how to plumb properly? And re the Miele regular oven, would you get Sensortronic or Direct Dial? We don’t need extra features on M touch for regular oven. Direct dial regular oven probably ok for us but it looks a bit dated. And sensortronic probably looks better stacked under M touch combisteam. What do you think? Thank you so much!!

Thanks Kim G! I have not been able to test the different inductions. There is a Miele showroom nearby but the induction was not operational. And I just saw the Wolf induction boil water but that was it. Both seemed about the same.

Curious what you ended up going with and if you are happy? We are in the same boat right now (choosing between miele and wolf steam oven/oven) and struggling with the decision. Thanks!

Elizabeth L, what did you end up picking? We are currently weighing Wolf vs Miele ourselves!

Kim G are you still happy with your Wolf induction cooktop? Also, is the bridge feature a true bridge where there are inductors in the center of the two burners so there aren't any cold spots when you use a griddle or grill pan over 2 burners?

@JJ Mekai - I am still very happy with my Wolf Induction - I am now almost 8 years in and no issues. There are cool spots between the hobs when bridged. If you let your griddle heat up for a while they are minimized. I honestly do not use this feature very often so I don’t find it an issue for myself.
