We are remodeling the kitchen and the only way to enlarge the kitchen is to take a very large picture window out of the kitchen and replace it with a smaller (4 ft) window. The house exterior is brick and my question is: what to do on the exterior with the gap between the brick (hole left by larger former window frame) and new. We will be remodeling the deck area as well, adding a cabinet, maintenance free decking etc. so some material might be used a repeat to tie it together visually. Am I thinking along the right track and what should the material be?
