I love the hanging scale in your kitchen. I've been on the hunt for one like that for a while. On to color, do you have hany sort of fabric or upolstered prices in the kitchen that you can draw from for inspiration? Your kitchen seems dark, so I'd keep the wall on the light side. Do you want the wall to stand out and be an accent wall, or would you consider painting the same color as the rest of the kitchen? What colors are in the room joining the kitchen?

I just added the before pictures, omg it was worse than I remembered. No, there are no upholstered pieces, just a long row of stainless counter on the other wall. I'll post pictures of that wall and the adjacent dining room in a bit. Thanks on the scale, that kind of thing I can do, but I can't for some reason, pick color. For example, I thought the temp paint on the plywood was a light yellow, but no, its chartreuse. After this wall, then the ceiling with new lighting is getting done and will take care of that 'dark'.

Hi Edolie, when we visited Thomas to get the stain from weatherwoodstains, he carries this paint from Annie Sloan-products/paints/wall-paint from England-very different - and I love her color. I went through the same process like yours. What I have learned that to make your kitchen cabinet stands up- I pick a brighter different color- my kitchen cabinet is warm grey -so I have chosen Benjamin Moore -Silver Cloud ( which I wish I have known Annie Sloan- I would choose Duck Egg Blue)- I think either Provence or Duck Egg Blue would be nice for your kitchen. Thanks for the suggestions! There's a shop that carries Annie Sloan less than 10 miles from me, so Im going to check out a duck egg swatch; its a super interesting color. But white you can't go wrong with, and it would certainly solve my personal color dilemmas. Oh, my cat. Yes, I gave up too. lol. I think the table must be a perfect place for them to keep tabs on everything going on.
