So, we know that the taller a chimney is the better it draws. What about the cap? Our architect is recommending this chimney cap for our woodburning fireplace as more authentic for our house rather than chimney pots or other alternatives.

Does anyone know how well this will draw? Would we be better off or much better off with Chimney pots? (note that the 'chimney' in the middle of the roof ridge is only for mechanical exhausts).
