Honestly you can do whatever size you want....go out a find a mirror you like and hold it up..of course it must be large enough for you to see over the top of the tallest person that will be using them....Really no rules :)

most mirrors we looked at seem too heavy. What do you think of using trim framing instead of mirrors? Just put framing on the mirror?

Yes you can just add a pre made frame you like from a craft store.....:))

Ordered a floating shelf from Etsy. She is going to finish it sort of driftwood. Received swatches from The Shade Store. Will take pictures when I get some samples I like. They are very responsive by the way.

Finally received blind swatches from Home Depot. Hard to tell but we tend toward the Dacalu Pewter, left one. Daytime and night. Comments anyone?

Ordered these lights, handles and the larger bench the bench we have feels too short.
This week will call to give measurements for shades. Good thing our son in law is an electrician!
Then get some trim boards for around the big mirror for now

Thanks WE..you too!:) just had a lovely evening out to dinner with my hubby. my kids live in different states but sent me flowers..cards..and received a amazing bracelet from my son and his wife.....it has my 86 year old mothers signature engraved on it..she always signs her cards to me...”love you so much”so they had it engraved and actually copied her hand writing and had them duplicate it...had me in tears! So very blessed.....enjoy your day tomorrow....us moms deserve one day right!;)

Yes, lived with it for awhile...it seemed to small height wise and thin seat. It had some flaws. Sigh, sent it back today. Going to order the shade in the next few days. Progress. You have helped so much, thanks.

Do all shades have to be mounted at the top of window? Even though I only need or want the bottom 18 1/4” of the window covered it seems you have to buy a full window coverage. I am about ready to buy some woven fabric, make a Roman shade and place it on an extension rod in the lower third of the window!

Instead of a bench maybe floating shelves that you can stack full of rolled up towels and maybe plants too?

For rug in bathroom, it should be washable. Have you looked at Ruggable? I don't own one of these myself, but I love the concept.

I have to ask if you are okay with a tiled countertop? It sounds like your hubby is tall so maybe you don't have same issue I had with our tiled bathroom countertop, which I couldn't wait to rip out: I'd wash my face and the water would splash and drip down the grout, soaking me in front. Is that just me because I'm short? It'd also drip down the other direction ... and soak the toilet paper too.

The person I called at Home Depot.com to order the shade. I told her I wanted a faux Roman shade, bottom only and she said they can only be attached inside mount at the top. Hmm no imagination!

We really don’t need more shelves for storage. We’ve ordered another bench which I think will work better, a little larger. We also have a rug. Maybe your water pressure is higher than ours for it to splash, lol.

I’m short too, but we’ve had this tile for 20 yrs and never had a problem. Our sinks are 20” so maybe your sink is too small?

Yes love the bench, it fits the room much better. The other one was too skimpy and had some flaws. We have new lights waiting to be put up. Then frame out the mirror. I’ll call Home Depot about the shade again this next week to see if I can better communicate my ideas to them.

I will take some images of my faux shades for you tomorrow....when they went to hang them I wanted a finish top so they turn the top over once and it gives it a finished top..hard to explain will show you to tomorrow:)

Progress! New lights, framed out the big mirror. Still searching for shades, want Decalu Pewter. The shade store is looking for something like Decalu Pewter. They also do side mounts, yay! What do you think of accessories, more less, something else?

WE...that looks so AMAZING! The accessories are just right so zen and calm..one thing I would try is put white vase on tray and the gray vase on the counter..just for the heck of it...get some big fluffy white towels and roll them up and put them under the Buddha shelf....The Shade Store and Smith & Noble are great with shades so I am sure you will be able to get exactly what you need.

the trim around the mirrors makes such a difference and love your new modern lighting...look at all that wonderful new hardware!:)

What i really like is how you put the center piece down the large mirror. Usually people don't do that.
