Small blank entry wall

Good morning! Yesterday I posted about one part of my small entry and ended up switching from a small bench and un-proportioned mirror to a hall tree I wasn't using.

Now I'm wondering about this small blank wall that greets people immediately upon entering our house. I've never hung anything on it because nothing has seemed right. What would you put here? Or should it stay empty?

Please, no tacky "bless our home" or "welcome"! A wreath will start out looking nice but will end up catching dust & looking nasty over time.

Suggest a small console table with a tapestry above that would still allow access to the switches
or a plant stand with a real plant to hide the unfortunate placement of the light switches.

Perhaps a "Bless our Home" or "Welcome" sign? What about a wreath? I love h cheery welcoming color.

LOL! Guess it really is personal preference. True with dust! If it's switched out seasonally that helps keep it looking fresh.

A framed family picture like the ones above the highchair would be nice.

Thank you both for the suggestions. I might try the plant idea, though there's not a ton of space there so might feel a little crowded with something else on the floor.

How about a gallery wall full of pictures, mementos, etc? If you frame them all out in white (but different shapes and sizes), it'll fill out the wall without taking up floor space and keep the light switches from sticking out so much.

go to wall spirit .com and look at some of their decal designs, I am sure you will find one you will love. They are easy to apply and easy to remove, personally I would do the tree and add family pictures on the branches.
