I obviously don't know a lot, but having googled both responses, I think the answer so far is Iris Tectorum. Either way, I'm excited -- I thought perhaps it was a weed! I think maybe it is too small to be a Crinum (I apologize my photo had nothing added for scale).

The fact that it appears to be growing in a spray or with fans of foliage would lead me to suspect an iris of some sort. And the distinct veining pattern matches I. tectorum :-)

Yes, the fan arrangement eliminates Crinum.
