Did it work?? While I find scarecrows reasonably appealing garden ornaments, they seem to fail miserably at actually scaring birds off..........

Did not work. lol Robins were not bothered at all, so we hung some spinning light catchers. The robins were still not bothered so we put top soil on the seeds, stomped it down a bit and ...... no sign of robins. But.... we never saw any crows! they must have been scared off.... or they don't like lawn seed. lol Follow up will be posted.

I loaned some ground out to a friend of mine to plant a veggie garden.This is the scarecrow he made to deter the deer and elk. It 'sorta' worked. I know it sometimes startles me when I see it out of the corner of my eye.

I was going to dig a ditch across the driveway today. After careful thought, I decided it's too nice a day to dig a ditch. I'm going to plant trees and some groundcovers instead.

So funny. I swear the robins sit on my garden stakes waiting for me to plant seeds in the morning. It has gotten so I have to remay my beds to keep any seedlings at all. But how can you get mad at a robin....
