I love chandeliers over tubs, but unless you have a ~12 ft+ ceiling, it is a violation of code (U.S.) to install one, as no part of it can be within 8 feet of the TOP of the tub rim. I installed one anyway, understanding it is a violation, and that I will have to remove it before I sell my home. Also, if I was to slip, and reach out to grab something, mine is small enough that it is not within reach. So, while I am not complying with the letter of the law, I feel a *little* better complying with the spirit of it.
