Could use your advice

Probably could also use some math help, because I always seem to end up with extra blocks! Anyway, recently finished a queen size pineapple quilt top, and had four extra blocks.

I sewed them together, then added several borders, experimenting with something I had seen in a photo. Here is the result:

It is just over 39” square. Can this work as a baby quilt? What might I add to enlarge it for an older child? I have no use for this quilt, it was just a practice piece. Any ideas?

Oh, wow, I love it! I don't see why it couldn't be a baby quilt as is. But if you want to make it larger/rectangular you could add a plain border to just the top and bottom then maybe some more mountain blocks in a top and bottom border.

If the big quilt is for yourself, use this as a wall hanging when using the quilt.....or use it as a wall hanging even if the quilt isn't for you. :-) Yes, it's an ok size for baby quilt. It's gorgeous!

I understand about the counting issue! LOL I think it would make a beautiful baby quilt.

It's a great siaze for a baby quilt or a wall hanging. WOW, nice result with leftover blocks, just lovely!

After auditioning lots of fabrics, I found one and added one more border so the top matches one width of backing fabric. Now I need to sandwich and quilt it.

But today is Wee Care assembly day, so no quilting!
