Honey Oak Doorknobs

I am trying to update our house out of the 90s without redoing all of our wood. Plus from what I hear, honey oak is apparently making a comeback (per a designer). Anyways, we have the gold doorknobs on our honey oak doors. What do I update those knobs to more thus century that look okay with honey oak?

I faced the problem. If you have gold (brass) knobs then you probably have brass hinges. You need to replace everything if you're going to do it correctly. It's a lot of work. I'd just stick with the brass. I bought the oil rubbed bronze handle knobs and the color wears off over time. I didn't have this problem with brass.
