Where did you find the metal panel for this? I'm looking for something similar to recover my hv/ac vent which is unfortunately located in the middle of the largest wall in our living room. It's a huge eyesore ad I think something like this would work great. Thanks!

We purchased this grill from www.patterncut.com. It is pattern A, 1/4" thick wood. There are several different designs to choose from and you can specify your desired size. It comes unfinished and we painted it to match the walls because we did not want to call attention to this cabinet. We also installed a magnetic catch on the inside of the door so there isn't any hardware on the front of the cabinet. Our carpenters built the frame to go around the grill and, of course, the cabinet.

In this picture, it is an AV cabinet that contains the homeowner's cable box and dvd player. We ran wires from the back of the cabinet to her TV and put an RF lens at the front of her TV so when she points her remote at the TV, it controls everything on the TV and her DVD player.

Google "decorative metal screen tions...grill". Lots of options...

You can get this metal screen at Home Depot. They painted it to match the wall but it comes in different metal tones and painted black.

Panels like this can be found at Architectural Grille, http://archgrille.com. Several different patterns and thicknesses available. They can be made to any size you need.

Hi Jennino -- My first thought was instead to mount a carved teak panel an inch or two off the wall. My houzz search only brought up this, but you get the idea. It's the kind of thing you'll easily find at a Pier 1, ebay, even the nice lady in this link might do something custom for you!
